My Fishing Journals:
|
June 3 2006:I started out this morning fishing a Booyah buzz bait as I usually do. I had
a few bass boil up on the bait , but they seemed to not really want to strike.
So as the day progressed the sun got brighter and it got hotter!! Because of the
conditions I switched to a yum dinger but still had no success. I was starting
to wonder what in the world was going on and I checked to see if I was awake and
at the right pond! I switched to many other baits but they too did not work.
From my prior knowledge of the lake I knew that they would hit a top water bait
such as a buzz bait as it started to get later and darker. So around 7:00 I
pulled out ol’ faithful (a buzz bait) and the action got hot. In a matter of
minutes I caught 4 nice sized bass in the 2-3 pound range and one about 4-5
pounds. So overall this fishing experience told me that fishing conditions can
change very rapidly from day to day and sometimes you have to be patient and
stick with your gut feeling as well as your confidence baits and prior knowledge
of the body of water you are fishing. |
